Courtyard meeting: Ms. Feroza Begum (House wife) Date: 11.12.2021 Shikaripara Union under Nawabganj Upazila, Dhaka said that many women in our village are abused by their husbands and their husband’s family members, we used to say, we just watched and we didn't have anything to help them. Now if we see a girl being tortured by her husband for dowry and later sent to her father's house, we will inform them about the legal aid help and assist them in getting the service from the district legal aid office.
UPLAC Bi-monthly Meeting: Date: 14.12.2021, Royal Union Parishad Secretary Mr. Babu Ramprasad Banik said a client came to my union council with his problem. Since the election was held in front, the chairman has not come to the union council yet, so I sent the client of that justice seeker to the district legal aid office. I later heard from the client that he had received good legal advice from the District Legal Aid Office and was very happy about it.
